Description
We all know or read previously about the value of coaching in sports, but what do we know about coaching in the workplace? Same as a coach can help an athlete achieve their goal, a workplace coach can guide employees to improve performance and meet their goals.
Bill Gates said in one of his TED Talks5: “Everyone needs a coach. It doesn’t matter whether you’re a basketball player, a tennis player, a gymnast or a bridge player. We all need people who will give us feedback. That’s how we improve.”
We touched briefly in the introduction part the benefits of coaching, but let’s go more into the importance of the workplace coaching. Coaching in the workplace is an effective method of preparing individuals for success. The correct coaching program may drive people to develop, resulting in enhanced work satisfaction and productivity. Coaching may also be used to affirm, assist, and empower people, hence increasing employee engagement and commitment.
